A man is in critical condition after being shot in his Boynton Beach motel room, police report, and the two suspects wanted in the robbery escaped before police could arrive.
Police say 45-year-old Neil Rogers is the owner of Florida Sewer & Storm Inc. and was in town for work. He was shot just after 4 a.m. today at the Seven J's Motel at 614 NE Eighth Ave., according to police.

Two men knocked on the door, and when he answered, one of the men allegedly pistol-whipped him and shot him once before robbing the room. Another man in the hotel room wasn't hurt, and there is no indication why there are so many J's at that motel.
As for the suspects, Boynton Beach spokeswoman Stephanie Slater wrote that they are "two black males in their 20's wearing white T-shirts and black shorts. One had short dreadlocks; the other had long dreadlocks."
