You know all about Dalia Dippolito, but after you read this week's New Times feature by Lisa Rab, you'll wonder whether the trophy wife can make an argument at trial for justifiable (attempted) homicide. Because he husband Michael Dippolito was some kinda sleazy. The guy may not have deserved to die; but he definitely deserved a loveless gold digger like the one he married.


In the music section, Camille Dodero tells us about Monotonix, an Israeli "cock rock" band that will be playing Respectable Street in West Palm Beach Wednesday night, along with those buzz-grabbing natives, Surfer Blood.

Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde aren't known as a comedy duo, but their split personality is a riot in Chemical Imbalance, the play at Caldwell Theatre in Boca Raton. New Times theater critic Brandon K. Thorp finds bliss in the oblivion of prim and proper Victorians trying to stay unruffled despite a serial killer in their midst.

At Corner Cafe in Tequesta, John Linn pronounced himself "smitten by gator fritters." He washed them down with a Gnarly Barley pale ale while basking in the friendly chit-chat between cafe regulars and the multi-tasking married couple who run the joint.
