Ah, happy hour. That wonderful time of day when one can drink copious amounts of alcohol for just a fraction of the usual bill. How could one be unhappy with that sort of deal?

To make happy hour even happier, Delray Beach's 75 Main has made some changes to its overall bar program and, well, its effects on its happy-hour deal. A new craft cocktail list has been created and included on the bar's extended hours of happiness. Details after the jump.

Created by the restaurant's bar staff, the revamped menu features a new mix of specialty cocktails featuring fresh fruits and and interesting spices. The drinks list features an array of old classics like the Moscow Mule, Russian Standard (gold vodka, ginger beer, lime, and mint served in a copper mug), and the Dark and Stormy (Gosling's Black Seal Rum with ginger beer) and new interpretations like the Acai-Blueberry Vohito (Van Gogh Acai-Blueberry vodka with muddles mint, lime, and fresh blueberries topped with soda) or the Some Like It Hot Cosmo (cherry vodka and Fireball whiskey shaken with muddled maraschino cherry and a spiced rim).

The drinks, which are normally priced at $14, are half-price during the bar's extended happy hour. The bar also offers $5 wines by the glass. Rather than the usual 4 to 6 p.m. or 5 to 7 p.m., the bar features happy-hour deals on drinks and food from 4 to 8 p.m.

As for food, executive chef Mark Militello has created a bar menu filled with inexpensive snacks. While it changes frequently, it currently features $6 shishito peppers served with sea hive cheese, miso, and toasted sesame; a $7.75 Main Chop Salad with lettuce, candied walnut, cranberry, onion, roasted peppers, grape tomatoes, Gorgonzola, and balsamic dressing; a $7 rigatoni bolognese with veal, pork, beef, and house-made tomato sauce; and more. Honestly, it would be easy to squeeze an entire dinner out of the happy hour. We call that being fiscally conservative.
