Hold on to your brains, people -- because they might just blow right out of your skull after this announcement.
BC Cafe is hosting a bacon taco night with a twist...the taco shell is made of bacon!

BC Cafe's Brett Chiavari explains the awesomeness that is the bacon taco, giving credit to a friend of the restaurant, Chris, who had the idea two years ago. "We have finally done it. The bacon is the tortilla shell. Yes, it has been done before, but not like this. This taco night we are reinventing the classics, starting with scallops and bacon."
The bacon taco starts with a bacon shell, which is filled with seared scallops, white bean puree, gremolate, and arugula ($7).
That, in itself would be enough to set our hearts aflame, but Chiavari has some other "classic" tacos up his sleeve including a filet mignon taco with boursin and brie cheese spread, onion jam, asparagus and radish slaw ($6); a beef cheek taco, balsamic braised, polenta cakes, broccoli rabe; and a duck l'orange taco, puffed wild rice, green beans, sweet potato puree, orange segments ($5).
For dessert? A cheesecake taco with strawberries ($5)!
It all goes down Saturday, June 28 from 5 - 10 p.m. at BC Cafe, proving once again that if it tastes good - it tastes even better as a taco! Or with bacon!
