Running is a great way to both relieve stress and to get fit. Best of all, running requires a minimal investment of a good pair of shoes and can be done anytime and anywhere. It could be the perfect exercise but for one little thing — many people hate running.
But, what if there was ice cream waiting for you at the end of your run? Would that make running all better? The answer, clearly, is yes. Anything — including running — is better when ice cream is involved.
That's why the Delray Beach Running Company's new weekly run club is the most impossibly awesome idea ever. Many running shops host free weekly runs, partnering up with an energy drink or even a beer company for a post-run treat. But the Delray Beach Running Company has partnered with Ben & Jerry's for its weekly runs.
Starting this Wednesday, November 18 and every Wednesday after that, runners will meet at the Ben & Jerry'(s 1155 E. Atlantic Blvd., Delray Beach), with the run starting at 6:15 p.m. sharp. Runners will run at their own pace and choose their own distance on a scenic course that takes you out and back on A1A along the beach. The best part? Every runner will be treated to a free scoop of Ben & Jerry's ice cream in a cup when finished running.

To keep everyone safe, coaches from the Delray Beach Running Company will be on hand to make sure everyone knows the course. They'll even pace people who are interested in upping their running game.
In addition to free ice cream, Pizza Rustica (1155 E Atlantic Ave.) is offering a 20 percent discount on the entire check (including beer) to anyone who participates in the run club and eats pizza afterward.
