It's certainly not news to anyone that Florida is practically a mecca for tourists who enjoy the sight of sandy beaches and palm trees swaying in the warm salty breeze. Floridians can't really take credit for the climate, but the fine dining, nightlife, and entertainment are all our doing and it's nice to get recognized for our efforts.

This week, Delray Beach, the "Village by the Sea" has another feather for its cap as Italian beachside restaurant, Caffe Luna Rosa was awarded a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence 2013.

TripAdvisor, is a travel planning site, like Orbits or Expedia.

Much like our site, Voice Places, TripAdvisor allows users to rate different kinds of businesses and leave comments.

A kind of "people's choice award," the TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence 2013 is given to businesses that have received consistenly high ratings on the site.

According to the release:

Only the top-performing 10 percent of all businesses listed on TripAdvisor actually earn this highly coveted award, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews on TripAdvisor.

To qualify for this award, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travelers on TripAdvisor, and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least one year.

"To earn the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence is a great honor for Caffe Luna Rosa, and credit goes to our extraordinary staff, both on the floor and in the kitchen," says owner Fran Marincola. "They always make a special effort to give every guest a wonderful meal and a memorable dining experience. This accolade is evidence that our hard work is translating into positive reviews on TripAdvisor."

Caffe Luna Rosa takes part in the many foodie events that go on in downtown Delray Beach, including this year's Tastemakers of Delray Beach event coming up August 8 and 9.
