That's the latest eatery to set up shop on West Palm's very own Restaurant Row (340 Clematis Street; 561-659-2912) a Caribbean-themed, seafood-oriented spot only a block from Reef Road Rum Bar, another island-inspired restaurant.

Proprietor John Ciulla "has been fishing and diving South Florida and the Bahamas for years," according to the restaurant's website. Together with chef Randy McCartney, he's crafted a menu full of Bahamian specialties, from conch salad, fritters, and chowder to whole fried snapper with peas 'n' rice.

Beyond conch are such tropicalesque dishes as smoked fish dip, jerked chicken salad, grouper with pineapple-mango chutney, and yellowfin tuna with spicy soy-wasabi sauce. There are also steaks, fried chicken, and vegetarian pasta for the seafood-adverse, as well as something called "guava duff," a traditional Bahamian dessert of guava baked in pastry.

Décor is very island-inspired, with a dining room painted in vivid blues, greens, and golds that opens onto tables for sidewalk dining, artfully distressed furnishings, and an etched-glass underwater "mural" at the entrance.
