If the urge to make a gelatin mold of your own face and then chow it down is eating you up, fret no more. The Eat Your Face Gelatin Mold Kit is here to help.

Mike Samonek, author of a crazy tome called The Special Effects Cookbook, came up with the concept. You can get one for only $25 this Christmas from his website.

"Mom always said the best gift is the gift of one's self. So I created an easy and safe way to cast your face in gelatin and serve it up on a platter. It's guaranteed to cause curious kids to start asking questions about the science of proteins."

Or at least start questioning why Christmas and creepy gelatin masks go together.

After all, when the egg nog is flowing, what could be better than pouring Jello on your face, letting it set, and then, after doing a few whippets, coat it with whipped cream and eat it?

"Dad can take a bite out of Mom's beautiful face, Sis can finally bite off her pesky brother's nose, and Grandma and Grandpa can give each other an instant gelatin face lift," say the mold makers.

Yep, that spells holiday spirit, all right.
