Clean Plate Charlie usually doesn't give advice to criminals, but we consider this a public service. Attention would-be-bad-guys:

Do not answer any Craigslist ads that start with "I am looking to purchase illegal drugs, guns, hootch, sex, or...anything."

Got it?  Good. Because apparently 23 year-old Lantana resident Daniel David Pawa didn't get the memo.

According to the Sun-Sentinel, an affiliate of Pawa's responded to a Craigslist ad posted by a Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco agent  that read, "Looking for some strong moonshine. If you got some of the strong stuff, shoot me a text."

An introduction was then made between the undercover police and the alleged bootlegger.

Undercover agents bought over 40 gallons of hootch from Pawa over the course of several weeks, slowly building a case.

Pawa was arrested early this morning at around one a.m. on several charges, including illegal liquor possession, illegal possession of a weapon, conspiracy to violate beverage laws, defrauding state tax laws, and concealing alcoholic beverages.

Can we please just keep Craigslist for random hookups, selling used bikes and finding homes for stray kittens?
