Bluejay's Cafe. It's where you want to go for brunch, lunch, dinner -- well, any meal, really.

This Fort Lauderdale restaurant, just steps from the downtown Riverwalk,
like burgers, salads and sandwiches as well as beautifully prepared and unique entress.

And, for today only, you can sample any of their dishes -- and time of day -- with our Deal of the Day. You'll receive $30 worth of food and drink for just $15 if you act now.

Both the restaurant's brunch and lunch menus offer a similar selection of southwestern favorites, each dish is given its own unique flair and artfully prepared native New Mexico Chef Jeremiah Buchanan.

Appetizer-sized plates include our favorites like the shrimp, chicken or steak tacos. Each one is served al fresca with ingredients that vary slightly to compliment the meat you choose, but most with fresh lime juice, lettuce, tomato salsa, cotija cheese and sliced red onion, wrapped in a fresh corn tortilla ($8).

If you're feeling lighter, there are also a number of salads that can be made to order off the lunch menu, with herb or chili-seasoned chicken, shrimp or skirt steak ($7-$9 with toppings $5-$8). We like the Roasted Beet salad, available during brunch and lunch, served with mixed greens, pine nuts, goat cheese and crispy bacon in an herb vinaigrette.

For dinner, there's a wide range of dishes that encompass meat, poultry and fish. Our top picks include the filet smothered in a poblano mushroom sauce with roasted red potatoes and stewed green beans ($25), and the half-roasted chicken served over rice with a tomato mushroom sauce ($16). There's even a half-wrack of lamb ($18) roasted with root vegetables and sundries tomatoes.

If all that's too much for you, keep it simple Buchanan's twist on the basic cheese burger, his own Green Chili Cheeseburger ($10). Served with green chili, melted jack cheese, shredded lettuce and tomato, it's a little bit of everything good southwestern cooking has to offer.

Dining in: grab a $5 bottle of beer or one of the house wines by the glass to compliment your dish, sit back -- and relax. You can even bring the kids, although the menu is limited to pizza, burgers, and chicken tenders (it's actually a brilliat selection of tiny-tot favorites).

Most impressive: there's even a dish you can order for your dog: stewed veal, carrots and rice for just $4.
