Local brewers and marine a-fish-ianado's Saltwater Brewery have announced a partnership with Florida Distributing Co. and J.J. Taylor Cos. Inc. to expand their distribution to the Tampa and Orlando areas.

Since opening its doors at the end of 2013, the company has rapidly expanded, brewing 2,000 barrels (that's 62,000 U.S. gallons) of beer in 2015. This year, it looks like it's committed to brewing much more than that.

In addition, the brewery has just released its second canned offering, the roasted, sweet, and dark-brown Sea Cow Milk Stout, into the wild. It joins beers like Wynkoop's Cowtown Milk Stout and Black Ridge Brewery Milk Stout in the canned-milk-stout family.

Expect now to find Saltwater Brewery beer on tap and in cans in these counties: Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole, Charlotte, Collier, Desoto, Glades, Hardee, Henry, Highlands, Hillsborough, Lee, Manatee, Okeechobee, Pasco, Pinellas, Sarasota. This is in addition to Broward, Dade, Indian River, Martin, Monroe, Palm Beach, St. Lucie.

"FDC and J.J. Taylor have great reputations in the distribution arena and are well-respected in the beer community," said Bo Eaton, head of sales and cofounder of Saltwater Brewery. "Their enthusiasm for our brand has made us very excited to partner with them."

The team is planning to continue expansion later this year, which will see it canning additional styles such as Locale, Wheat Wave, and other limited releases.

Saltwater Brewery is located at 1701 W. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach. Call 561-865-5373, or visit saltwaterbrewery.com.
