Procrastinators take note: this marks the last weekend for Dine Out Lauderdale -- it ends Thursday, Nov. 10. -- and the chance to grab a three-course meal for $35 at select Fort Lauderdale restaurants. Of course, some of the eateries pull the whole "You can't get this deal on the weekend" routine, so you should call or visit a restaurant's website before you head out.

In other event news, there are lots of family-friendly, outdoor happenings planned. Assuming the weather is more pleasant than last week's monsoon, the weekend will be a great time for food lovers to be out and about in South Florida.

Without further ado, a look at food and drink events this weekend in Broward and Palm Beach Counties:

Tonight:

12th Annual Best of Boca & Beyond -- Thirty local restaurants

will showcase their offerings at this fundraising event from 6 to 9

p.m. at the Shops at Boca Center, 5050 Town Center Circle. Admission includes specialty cocktails and wine. Tickets are $40 and proceeds go to Hospice of Palm Beach County Foundation.

Friday:

Food trucks in Delray Beach -- The weekly Free Friday Concerts event at Old School Square Cultural Arts Center in downtown Delray Beach will include B.C. Tacos, Feverish Ice Cream, Guiseppe's Italian Sausage, Jefe's Original Fish Taco and Burger, Kona Ice, and Slow Food Truck. The event is 6 to 10:30 p.m. and admission is free, though you'll need to bring cash for the food trucks and cash bar. No outside food or beverage allowed.

Saturday:

Wyland Living Green Fair -- See if the green, eco-living lifestyle is for you at this family-friendly festival from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Mizner Park in Boca Raton. In addition to music and kiddie activities you can also learn about organic gardening, hang out at cooking and product demos, and consume healthy food and drinks. Tickets are $5 to $35 and are available online.

Jaxson's Ice Cream Parlor's 55th Anniversary Party -- The beloved Dania Beach icon will mark its 55th anniversary with a free family-friendly party featuring a hot dog eating contest sponsored in part by National Deli. The event is 7 to 10 p.m. at Jaxson's and proceeds from events and food sales that evening will benefit Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.

Gourmet Food for the Soul -- It's something of a canned food drive with food that drives at this community event featuring food trucks and a pantry drive from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sunrise Harley Davidson, 201 International Parkway in Sunrise. Bring a non-perishable food or hygiene item to benefit Feeding South Florida and Cooperative Feeding Program.

Food trucks at Spady Cultural Heritage Museum -- The Spady Cultural Heritage Museum in Delray Beach will host a family day from 4 to 10 p.m. with a dozen food trucks in attendance, including Nacho Mama's Grill, Tango Grill, and Fresh Off the Grill.   

Sunday:


Wyland Living Green Fair -- The second day of this festival is noon to 5 p.m. in

Mizner Park in Boca Raton. Tickets are $5 to $35 and are available online. There will be a VIP Green Jazz Brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets to the brunch are $30 for adults/$15 for kids and include admission into the festival.

Seminole Hard Rock's Wine & Food Festival -- Fill up on eats from local restaurants -- like Tatu and Martorano's -- and wines from around the world at this festival from 1 to 5 p.m. (or noon to 5 p.m. if you get a VIP ticket). Tickets are $45 for regular admission and $85 for VIP. Chef Steve Martorano will be around from 2 to 3 p.m. to sign copies of his cookbook.

SunTrust Sunday Jazz Brunch -- Bring a blanket and your picnic basket for the free event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Riverwalk in Fort Lauderdale. If you don't feel like bringing your own food, local restaurants and vendors will be in attendance so you can leave the cooking to the professionals.

Barbecue cook-off at Flamingo Gardens -- Vegetarians will probably give wide berth to the super meaty Eighth Annual BBQ Cook-Off from 5 to 8 p.m. at Flamingo Gardens in Davie. Admission is $40 for advance sales or $50 at the door.

Coral Springs Food Truck Festival -- Nearly 20 food trucks are expected to roll out for the Coral Springs Food Truck Festival from noon to 4 p.m. at 2855 Coral Springs Dr. The rally -- which will include Catered Bliss, Ms. Cheezious, and Slow Food Truck -- is hosted by the Rotary Club of Coral Springs and benefits the Make a Wish Foundation.
