Yogurt - it's full of probiotics, it's soothing to the stomach, and it is conveniently packaged for on-the-go consumption. So it can be a real detriment to one's morning routine to find breakfast has morphed into an alien life form and is attempting to escape from its packaging and commandeer the fridge.

After receiving complaints of distended packaging and reports of illness, the FDA has issued a recall of everyone's favorite strained dairy treat, Chobani Greek Yogurt. The recall affects consumers nationwide and includes several incarnations of the Chobani brand.

According the the report on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's site:

The company has ceased the distribution of the product due to reports of product bloating and swelling and some claims of illness as the company continues its investigation to identify the root cause.

The potentially affected product was distributed nationwide from its Twin Falls, Idaho facility and was delivered to consumers through retail and club stores.
