Downtown Lake Worth gets a welcome shot in the arm when one its prime restaurant locations, shuttered since Ouzo Blue went into the great beyond, is thriving once again with the debut of Fiorentina (707 Lake Ave.; 561-588-9707).

Chef-proprietor of the regional Italian eatery is Joshua Santangelo, former general manager of Prime 707, which occupied the same space prior to Ouzo Blue. The vibe and décor are a lot different from Ouzo's dance-on-the-tables, party-till-your-feet-fall-off ambiance. There's a row of posh banquettes, a trio of cylindrical red chandeliers, and a buffed-up bar.

The menu roams all over Italy, with such culinary stalwarts as grilled pizza, bistecca Fiorentina, and linguine con vongole alongside less-ubiquitous offerings like caprese salad with Pugliese burrata, spiedini alla Romana, and the house signature rigatoni Bucaiola.

Prices are reasonable too, with most appetizers $10 and under, all pastas under $15, and entrées topping out at $25.
