Today might be Friday, but if you're a food who resides in Broward or Palm Beach, last night should have been the highlight of your week.
New Times sixth-annual Pairings food and wine (and this year, beer) event took over the Broward County Convention Center last night with an endless array of small bites, beer, wine, and mixed drinks.
If you made it there, you probably picked out some favorites of your own. If not, do not fret, we have pictures to make you feel worse about missing out.
We picked out the five best dishes of the event.

5. Green Spot Kitchen's Bacon Mac and Cheese
It's mac & cheese with bacon - 'nuff said.
4. Market 17 Florida Lamb Arancini
The farm-to-table spot's crispy Florida lamb risotto balls were served with with pickled red onion and gremolata, and Kuleto Estate Frog Prince to match.
3. Steak 954 beet with goat cheese mousse
A classic take on the good old beet and goat cheese salad, this light dish was a nice break from the carb loaded pastas and meat filled sandwiches which were delicious, but filling.
2. S3 Brisket Sliders
Topped with mustard barbecue sauce, collard slaw, and chow chow, the sliders were sweet, savory, and slightly acidic all at the same time. The Founders IPA was the perfect comliment.
1. Rebel House's Cobia Crudo "Vera Cruz"
Served with spicy tomato water, lime, chicharrones, watermelon radish, avocado, and cilanto, it was tangy and refreshing. Even better: it was paired with Funky Buddha's Floridian.
