Whether you're looking to search out some food-related art, howl at the moon, or go German for South Florida's ultimate Oktoberfest, there's something to get you going in Broward and Palm Beach Counties this weekend.

5. Delray Beach Greenmarket Season Opener

Farm fresh produce is kind of a big deal. Finally, it's back in season. Starting on Saturday from 9 a.m to 2 p.m. the Delray Beach Greenmarket is kicking up again for the growing season. Expect to see locally grown produce, farm-fresh eggs, raw milk, baked goods, plants, and more.

4. Dogfish Head Vs Southern Tier Tap Takeover

Sometimes it just takes a bit of friendly competition to get things going. On Saturday starting at 7 p.m. The Coffee District is hosting a tap takeover of Dogfish Head and Southern Tier beers in a quest to see what's best. The Dogfish Head 120 Min will be featured for the event. The first 20 Dogfish drinkers will get a free pint glass.

3. Halloween Full Moon Party

Between a full moon and the upcoming festivities of Old Hallow's Eve, some supernatural interactions might just be on the horizon; you might as well embrace it with a party. On Friday at 7 p.m., the Ritz Carlton Fort Lauderdale is hosting a party on its seventh floor deck to benefit Mission United. A $10 donation gets you a complimentary cocktail and light bites. Valet parking is $7.

2. Sweet Green Afternoon

Going green is more than just an act; it's a lifestyle. Most people who care about sustainability, health, and environmental issues like to spend time with other likeminded folk. If that sounds like you, you should probably check out Sweet Green Afternoon. On Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m., and every month from here on out, Food Gardens Studio is holding a green-focused event with live music, cooking and gardening demos, market, juice bar, and more. The event is free and open to the public.

1. American German Club Oktoberfest

The real Oktoberfest might take place in late September and early October, but South Florida's German contingent is just warming up. Starting at 5 p.m. Friday and running throughout the weekend, the club is opening its doors to the public for the greatest German celebration of them all. For $8 for adults and no cost for children check out carnival rides, wurst, sauerkraut and lots of imported Hofbrau beer at the American German Club.
