The world is not ending today. You will, indeed, have to deal with your hangover tomorrow. This non-event also means you'll need something to get up to the rest of the weekend. Fair warning: Whether it's the impending holidays or that everyone bought the apocalyptic hype, but the calendar (after tonight) is pretty quiet this weekend. Even so, Clean Plate Charlie managed to scare up a few ideas on what to do in South Florida. Find 'em after the jump.

5. A trip to the farmers' market
Load up on freshly-baked pies, seasonal produce, fancy olives (for your equally fancy tapas platters), French bread, and everything else you'll need for a holiday party at the weekly Yellow Green Farmers' Market in Hollywood. This weekend, Santa Claus will visit the market for free photos from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. It sure as hell beats taking the kids to the mall.
4. Food Truckalypse
Technically, this is out of the BRO/PBC confines that this roundup typically adheres to, but it's a slow weekend and this sounds like fun and cut us some slack the world is ending today. The doomsday food truck rally comes complete with an Armageddon Preacher, zombies, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Santa Claws, and fire breathers. Thirty food trucks are scheduled to appear and there will be a cash bar with beer and wine. The event is 6 to 11 tonight (Friday) in Amelia Earhart Park in Hialeah.
3. Vinegar cocktail class
There's still time to learn a few new drink-slinging tricks before the holiday season comes to a close. Thousand Pound Egg in Victoria Park is hosting an artisanal vinegar cocktail workshop this evening featuring local olive oil/vinegar expert Beth Sadowsky. Vinegar cocktails are really hot right now, and the workshop promises to show you how to mix up combos like the hibiscus vinegar with tequila and jalapeno plus a mimosa style drink. Space is very limited for the class, so call pronto if you want to get in. The class is 7:30 to 9 tonight. Light bites will be served. The cost is $35 plus a nominal ticket fee. Call 954-335-7060.
2. SantaCon
Is a Santa picnic required to include milk and cookies, or does the jolly ol' elf get to have something a bit more captivating when he's off the clock? Find out at Saturday's SantaCon held throughout downtown Fort Lauderdale. A bring-your-own-grub Santa Picnic kicks off the flurry of activity at 4 p.m. Saturday in Huizenga Park. The crawl then proceeds to Mangos and on to various stops before concluding at the Green Room. Read all about SantaCon and start bedazzling that sexy Santa suit, stat.
1. End of the World
Just because we don't believe in this whole "end of the world" nonsense doesn't mean we won't use it as an excuse to eat and drink like we won't have to pay for it tomorrow morning. There are dozens of End of the World parties in Broward and Palm Beach counties, most of which tend to the crazy rager category. If you're more inclined to the mellow, or you want to check out the newest spot in town, head over to The Mexican in Boca Raton for an End of the World Networking Party from 6 to 8 p.m. It's $5 at the door, and intended for business professionals in the 20-to-50-year-old age range.
