In Miami-Dade Marc Soyka is known as a restaurateur with a real-estate agent's instincts -- he's all about location, location, location. The proprietor of the international attraction News Café on Ocean Drive in South Beach (along with Van Dyke Café on Lincoln Road in South Beach and Soyka on Biscayne Boulevard in Miami), Soyka is about to test his eye in Broward. He's taking over the space formerly known as Dancing Bear, which hung around for a couple of years but never really did tap-dance into the diner's imagination. If Soyka's track record proves him correct, though, he'll have that location not just dancing but humming with activity as well. Frankly he's just the kind of competition other restaurateurs on Las Olas Boulevard need to keep them on their toes.
