How would you like to take a champagne cruise along the Intracoastal with a few of your besties — for free? Well, if you're a lady (and we aren't using that term loosely), you'll be able to with the launch of Boatyard Fort Lauderdale's new Ladies Night this Thursday.

Boatyard reopened several month ago and has already become a prime coastal dining destination. It's also well-known for its happy hour, served from three bars. But now the dock-and-dine restaurant is aiming to expand its upbeat bar scene with a new series dubbed "Boats & Bubbles."

The weekly event goes down every Thursday from 7 to 10 p.m. starting this Thursday. Ladies drink free from 7 to 10 p.m. at the indoor and outdoor bars and at the outdoor fire pit. Plus, female patrons can take a ride aboard a Van Dutch yacht for a complimentary champagne cruise along the Intracoastal.

The Van Dutch cruises are limited to women only, with reservations made on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be three departures each Thursday, with rides launching at 7:15, 8:15, and 9:15 p.m. The boat can accommodate up to ten people per ride.

"Adding a Ladies Night was really a no-brainer given our waterfront location," said Tim Petrillo, president and cofounder of the Restaurant People. "We set out to build a restaurant and entertainment venue that embraces Fort Lauderdale's yachting culture, and this is part of that vision."

Boatyard is encouraging all you ladies to arrive early for happy hour — which offers half-off beer, wine, and cocktails from 4 to 7 p.m. — to ensure a spot aboard the yacht. Free drinks for women during the Ladies Night promotion include Grey Goose cocktails, M&R prosecco, house wine, and domestic beer.

"Boatyard — previously Bimini — was always known for its bar scene," says Petrillo. "It's our goal to deliver a reinvented experience that will bring people back in droves. We're hoping 'Boats & Bubbles' will follow in those footsteps and become the next big [scene spot] in Fort Lauderdale."

Boatyard is located at 1555 SE 17th St., Fort Lauderdale. Call 954-525-7400, or visit boatyard.restaurant.
