Still kicking yourself for not going to the Build A Better Block event
in FAT Village a few weeks ago? Not to worry, this weekend you'll
have an opportunity to check out the up and coming, Flagler Village artist community, when it combines
its monthly Art Walk with the Night Owl
Market, a unique, new craft market.
The pop-up market will set up inside of C & I Studios, FAT Village's community-oriented media company, located at 541 NW First Avenue. On Saturday, June 30, from 5 p.m. to midnight, over fifty local artists, crafters and vendors will transform the inside of the 4,000-square-foot studio into a lively marketplace.
The Big Ragu, Roly Poly and 90 Miles to Go will take to the
streets of Flagler Village, serving everything from Italian subs to traditional Cuban
cuisine. Food truck newcomer, Joji Yogurt,
will also be in attendance, to show off its new glow-in-the-dark,
self-service yogurt truck. Free craft-beer, wine and cocktails, provided
by event sponsors Herradura Tequila and Little Black Dress Vodka, will
be served all night.
Flagler Village Community Service Chairman, Chad Scott, says that the
goal of the Night Owl Market is to " inspire positive change through a
grassroots effort.
The true charity is engaging the community while promoting culture and
giving exposure to local businesses".
Proceeds from the event
will go towards helping Flagler Village pay for their community garden
project and a monument sign to "add identity... to the thriving
neighborhood".
Admission is free. Parking is free and don't forget those free drinks.
