From the recent launch of Uber Eats to our homegrown Delivery Dudes, the roster of easy-to-use online services that will deliver meals to your doorstep keeps growing. And, frankly, so do our waistlines and unhealthy eating habits. Hey, with your favorite restaurant meal a click away, who can blame us?

Recently, a new meal delivery service known as Farm to Fork Meals launched in Oakland Park. The organic food delivery service also prepares meals for people following an intensive fitness routine.

Owned and operated by Cordon Blue-trained chef Michael Panza, Farm to Fork Meals
targets quality-minded people looking for a quick and easy way to eat healthy, gourmet, organic dishes.

The local chef — who has trained in Italy and managed several successful South Florida restaurant kitchens in the past decade — said inspiration for Farm to Fork Meals came from his customers, mostly busy professionals with demanding schedules.

"My customers were asking me to cook for them at home," he says. "I realized the only way I could meet their growing requests was to provide freshly prepared foods to be delivered to their homes that only needed a brief warm up in the oven."

Rather than cooking for one or two clients at a time, Farm to Fork will allow Panza to bring wholesome, customizable meals to hungry home diners throughout South Florida.

Farm to Fork Meals can be ordered via a weekly or bi-weekly meal plan that can include breakfast, lunch, and dinner (or lunch and dinner only), and customers can currently order two types of weekly meal plans: traditional and customizable.

The traditional plan focuses on comfort foods including pasta, local fish, and familiar dishes such as meatloaf and braised ribs, says Panza. Under the customizable meal program, customers will be able to choose preferred combinations of proteins, starches, and vegetables from an extensive lineup of ingredient offerings.

A third option labeled "fit" is expected to launch in the coming weeks, adds Panza, and will offer portion-controlled meals designed for customers who want to meet the needs of a specific fitness routine or lifestyle.

If you'd like to sample before you commit, this fall the company will open a public lunch café at its Oakland Park kitchen where guests will be able to enjoy a glass of wine or a beer with the brand's organic meals and buy some to take home from the store's refrigerated cases.

Farm to Fork meal plans are currently priced at $179.50 for 15 meals weekly including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and $129.59 for ten meals weekly including lunch and dinner; 954-368-8796; farmtoforkmeals.com.
