This past weekend, two South Florida breweries shipped up to Boston to participate in the Extreme Beer Fest, a festival that draws breweries and crowds from across the country together to highlight the boundary pushing beers that are being produced by American craft brewers.

Oakland Park's Funky Buddha Brewery and Boynton Beach's Due South Brewery joined with Tampa's Cigar City Brewing and Dunedin's 7venth Sun Brewery as the four representatives from the Sunshine State.

Funky Buddha brought some delicious brews, including two of their Best in Florida award-winning creations.

The Extreme Beer Fest, hosted by Beer Advocate, took place at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston on March 20th and 21st, and spanned three sessions over the two days. It cost event goers only $55 to sample extreme beers from breweries across the country over the period of three and a half hours.
