The people who brought you Rok:Brgr, Marc Falsetto and Charles Hazlett of JEY Hospitality, are bringing a new American tavern concept to Downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Himmarshee Public House will open at 201 SW 2 Street, in the corner space adjacent to Tarpon Bend. The 5,000 square foot space will open November 2013 and will feature global comfort food, craft beer, and cocktails.

The restaurant is a totally new build-out that will feature Fort Lauderdale's largest center bar, serving over 100 craft beers, a lounge area with bottle service, an LED projection wall and over 30 flat screen televisions.

Though many restaurants and bars with successful names behind them, like Coyote Ugly, have closed in the Himmarshee area, Marc Falsetto and Charles Hazlett have seen success with their popular Rok:Brgr and are planning on having lightning strike twice with Himmarshee Public House.

"We had seen the gourmet burger trend popping up in cities across the US, and jumped at the opportunity to be the first to bring it to Fort Lauderdale. Even though we looked at locations in South Beach, Wynwood, and Brickell, we chose Fort Lauderdale because we saw the potential in their downtown scene," explains Marc Falsetto, who said that the location was just waiting for the right concept.

A menu and prices are not yet available, but expect well priced pub fare and plenty of upscale suds with which to wash them down.
