Did you say $5,000?
Believe it or not, such a luxury food item does exist, and it's offered in Las Vegas, of course.
Chef Hubert Keller (widely known as a guest judge on Top Chef and contestant on Top Chef Masters) is featuring the opulent burger at his restaurant Fleur in Vegas' Mandalay Bay for $5,000. The FleurBurger 5000 -- made of Wagyu (Kobe) beef, foie gras, and truffles and served on a brioche-truffle bun alongside fries -- also comes with a bottle of 1995 Château Petrus (valued at $2,500), take-home Italian Ichendorf Brunello stemware (valued at $75), and a certificate of authenticity (which I suggest you hide from your wife).
Some sources say those who order the FleurBurger 5000 receive a complimentary portion for their dining companion. So at your next bachelor party, you and a buddy can split the price tag and take each take out a $2,500 cash advance on your 25 percent APR credit card, because the burger of your life is buy-one-get-one-free!
