Tea is the ultimate comfort drink.
When you're sick, it can soothe the throat and jump-start the immune system.
In the dead of winter, it's sure to warm you up from the inside and conjure images of balmy days.
When it's hotter than a billy goat's ass in a pepper patch, a glass of iced tea will cool you down and distract your mind from the blistering heat.
But like all consumable beverages, even tea is better with a bit of booze.
In honor of National Iced Tea Month (June), we've asked Tsukuro for some alcohol-infused recipes from its tea cocktail menu.

Earl of Paradise Punch
Three parts Malibu Rum
Two parts apple juice
Four parts chilled earl grey tea
One part fresh lime juice
Half part simple syrup
Fresh raspberries
Step One: Muddle the raspberries with simple syrup and then add the rest of the ingredients.
Step Two: Chill by stirring on ice and garnish with mint and citrus wheels
Basil Mo-Tea-To
Quarter cup of lime juice
One fresh basil leaves
One teaspoon cup sugar
Four ounces green tea
Two ounces light rum
Splash of seltzer
Step One: Muddle lime juice, basil, and sugar in shaker.
Step Two: Add green Ttea and rum. Shake.
Step Three: Pour over ice in a highball glass filled with ice and top with a splash of seltzer.
Step Four: Garnish, if desired, with additional basil leaves.
Asian Iced Tea
Three parts green tea
One part sake (filtered, such as Gekkeikan)
One part light rum
One part ginger syrup
Ice
Orange zest (grated, for garnish)
Crystallized ginger (for garnish)
Step One: Combine iced tea, sake, rum, and syrup in a large pitcher with ice.
Step Two: Taste and add more syrup, if desired.
Pour into iced tea glasses over ice and sprinkle orange zest on top. Float a piece of crystallized ginger on top and serve.
Royal-Tea
Two parts Beefeater Gin
Two parts brewed and chilled Earl Gray Tea
Squeeze of lemon juice
Spoonful of sugar
Lime wheels for garnish
Step One: Pour the ingredients into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice.
Step Two: Stir well and garnish with lime wheels.
