There are certain undisputed truths that everyone can agree on: the earth revolves around the sun; no one likes paying taxes; and Kathie Lee Gifford loves her wine. A lot.

In fact, the co-host of the fourth hour of the Today Show is never far from a filled wine glass, making it more of an indispensable accessory than lipstick or a Prada handbag. Gifford's love of wine is so legendary, Tuesday is ”Boozeday” and Wednesday is ”Winesday" on the show. Her love of the grape has been the subject of more than one brilliant Saturday Night Live skit with Kristin Wiig starring as the vino-swilling Ms. Gifford.

And its not just SNL that playfully ribs Kathie Lee, as evidenced by the time Matt Lauer and Ellen renacted a typical morning at Today.

That, in a nutshell, is why we love Kathie Lee so very much. While the rest of the planet is trying to get their acts together on a weekday morning, our hero is sipping the vino and yukking it up with her buddy Hoda. Who wouldn't want a position where you can literally drink on the job?

Getting serious, though, Kathie Lee is no slouch when it comes to wine. The Today Show host has partnered with California’s Scheid Family Wines to craft a 2011 Red Blend and a 2012 Chardonnay. Kathie Lee herself describes the Red as "easy drinking", which comes in handy when you're downing a few bottles before noon (who wants that bloated feeling). Of the 2012 Chardonnay, Kathie Lee says she became smitten with the varietal, "many years ago when I fell in love with French Burgundy. I was born in France so I think it is in my blood!"  Which is why we're hoping Kathie Lee has a car and driver written into her contract.

Gifford, who quotes scripture on her Gifft website,  will be at Whole Foods Market in Boca Raton on Saturday, March 28 from noon - 2:30 p.m. Customers can purchase a signed bottle of Gifft for $19.99 and meet Gifford in person. And, since this is Kathie Lee and there are plenty of bottles in stock at the store, who knows what can happen?

The event is free and open to the public with no registration required. Just show up and have a good time. We know one certain morning show host who will.
