Academy Award winner Mo'Nique is quite the energizer bunny. After finishing two back-to-back shows at the Fort Lauderdale Improv last weekend, most people would just want to curl up in their hotel room and send for a burger. But the star of Precious, The Parkers, and The Mo'Nique Show has her sights on a good Italian meal at Martorano's Italian-American Kitchen at Seminole Paradise at the Hard Rock.

But, when the multi-talented actress and comedian learned that owner Steve Martorano was at his flagship location Cafe Martorano, Mo'Nique decided to make the trek to Fort Lauderdale just to see the restaurateur and check out the restaurant.

While Martorano spun classic tunes, Mo'Nique and friends danced and had a great time, according to a source at the restaurant -- even though she didn't get a chance to enjoy any of Martorano's signature meatballs.

Looks like Mo'Nique will return next time she's in south Florida for the meatballs, the music, and the friendship.
