With Mother's Day just around the corner, it's time to start planning all of the special things you can do to make Mommie Dearest's day as perfect as possible -- starting with Sunday brunch, of course!


Here is a list of brunches that are sure to please even the most finicky mothers. Who knows -- maybe she'll even forgive you for those wretched wire hangers!

Morton's Steakhouse

Locations in Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach.

Morton's will be celebrating Mother's Day big this year with a three-course special menu for $59 a person from 3 until 9 p.m. There will also be a special Mother's Day cocktail for $14. You will start your meal off with either a chopped or caesar salad, followed by an entrée consisting of either a single-cut filet mignon, filet oskar, broiled salmon, colossal shrimp Alexander, or chicken Christopher -- all dishes are paired with a side such as a vegetable dish or potato and a tasty sauce. Finish off with crème brûlée or double chocolate mousse.

Big City Tavern

Big City Tavern will host a special Mother's Day brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mothers will receive unlimited mimosas and will also be treated to a free dessert. Kids under 10 dine for free.

Cafe Boulud

Cafe Boulud is located at the beautiful Brazilian Court Hotel. A special buffet will begin at 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Brunch will be $65 per adult and $35 per child.

The Restaurant at the Four Seasons Resort

For those of you who want to go all out this Mother's Day, the Four Seasons is sure to do the trick. There will be an elaborate, over-the-top buffet featuring a beautiful seafood display, tapas, cheeses, breads, desserts, and much more -- if there is anything the Four Seasons knows, it's  fancy. Reservations are required. The cost for adults is $100 per person and $35 for kids.

City Oyster & Sushi Bar

It's all about Mom and the kids! Mom gets to sit back and enjoy unlimited mimosas while kids under 10 eat free. Dad will enjoy receiving the check minus the shock factor.

Bring a little piece of Rio to Mom this Mother's Day! GOL! Brazilian steak house will serve 15 different cuts of meat plus an elaborate buffet.

Executive chef Lisa Odom will prepare brunch for $29 per person and $12 for children under age 13. Mothers will get to indulge in delicious entrées such as lobster eggs Benedict, rice pilaf, and mahi-mahi with a citrus buerre blanc. Other options include smoked salmon, pea soup, and caesar salad, or you can swing by the make-your-own omelet station. There will be a classic carving station that offers prime rib, honey ham, and roasted turkey. Don't forget to finish off with tasty cocktails such as their bloody marys and mimosas, or indulge in yummy desserts such as house-made parfaits, cupcakes, brownies, and assorted jams -- now that's a meal fit for a queen!

Bogart's Bar & Grill

Bogart's will be hosting a special Mother's Day brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The first 100 mothers to arrive will receive a goody bag, and the fun doesn't end there! A fashion show will also take place, along with a raffle and prizes.

 

B'stro on the Beach

B'stro on the Beach will offer brunch along with a $25 gift card that Mom gets to use toward wine next time she visits. Brunch will begin at 10 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. Reservations are encouraged. Some of the brunch options includes a build-your-own bloody mary station and mimosa station; a local, organic eggs Benedict station; artisanal breads; charcuterie; seasonal fruit; home-made granola; applewood smoked bacon; and other breakfast favorites. Guests will look forward to finishing off their meals at the dessert table set up on the patio overlooking the ocean. The cost for brunch is $28 per person plus tax and gratuity.

SAIA

Celebrate Mother's Day over an exotic Southeast-Asian-inspired Mother's Day dinner. Former Delano chef Subin will be whipping up some of SAIA's yummy signature selections. The evening's menu is prix fixe at $34 per person plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are recommended.

Steak 954 will be serving off of its traditional breakfast menu along with a few special breakfast items prepared by the chef Jason Landon. Some of the specials include grilled Thai shrimp salad, mussels with harrissa-tomato broth, prime rib with au jus, and preserved lemon risotto. Brunch will be à la carte.

The Pelican Beach Resort will be preparing a special Mother's Day brunch at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., or 3:30 p.m. Reservations are strongly recommended. Adults cost $54.95 per person, children under 12 cost $26.95 per child, and children under 4 are free. This huge brunch will include salads, pastas, a cheese display, a seafood station with a sushi boat, a waffle and omelet station, a paella station, a bread and pastry table, and an elaborate dessert station.

Take Mom back to her college days! Rocco's Tacos will be serving Mom free margaritas this Mother's Day, and kids under 10 eat for free. There will also be special menu items including tropical Hawaiian fish ceviche (plantains, passion fruit, coconut), crispy fried shrimp taco, seared yellowfin tuna sliced with frisee salad, organic chicken breast cooked on the comal, and pineapple tres leches.

Spoil Mom this year with a five-course tasting menu for $69 a person featuring spicy beef and scallion dumplings, lobster pancakes and tristar salad, two entrées (grilled garlic shrimp and grilled Szechuan beef), and dessert. China Grill will also be serving off of its regular menu along with a few specialties including the "I Love Mom" sushi (heart-shaped sushi, tuna, avocado, cream cheese, and tempura flakes wrapped in pink soy paper red tobiko with tuna sashimi).

This Mother's Day, chef Louie Bossi will serve brunch specials along with the regular brunch and dinner menus. All children under 10 eat free from the kids' menu. Moms are welcome to indulge in free (unlimited) mimosas. Some of the specials include buratta with fresh strawberries, organic basil and aged balsamic, petite filet, lobster macaroni and cheese, California asparagus with chianti syrup, fresh linguini with cherry stone clams, panchetta, Tuscan kale, and a garlic white wine broth.
