There's only one thought that comes to mind when we watch Hell's Kitchen, the combination cooking show/fraternity hazing hosted by foul-mouthed chef Gordon Ramsay on Fox television -- "Is it worth it?"
For local chef Robyn Almodovar, the answer is yes. The Le Cordon Bleu graduate's food truck, Palate Party, continues to attract steady crowds, and the young chef has recently been seen in local cooking competitions and food-truck roundups.
Though ousted from the show, Almodovar returns to assist finalist Christina Wilson in tonight's season finale. Wilson competes against Justin Antiorio for the win and a head chef position at Gordon Ramsay Steak in Las Vegas.
To mark the occasion, Almodovar is hosting a watch party tonight at Hollywood's Arts Park.
Starting at 5:30 p.m., Almodovar will chat with food truck fans as she
serves us soft shell crabs ($12), meatball sliders ($8), and garlic
truffle fries ($3). At 8 p.m., watch the finale of Hell's Kitchen live
from Almodovar's Palate Party food truck.
Over two dozen food trucks join Almodovar's Palate Party for the weekly roundup, including:
B.C. Tacos;
Big Kahuna;
Boba Station;
Che Grill;
Clarabelle's Cupcakes;
Cold Stone Creamery;
Cucina Al Mare;
