Prime, Delray Beach's sophisticated steak house owned by father-and-son team Steven Pellegrino and Steven Pellegrino Jr., has vacated its space off Atlantic Avenue, reopening alongside sister establishment Il Bacio on SE Second Ave.
Il Bacio, one of downtown Delray Beach's only nightclubs, is located south of Atlantic Avenue. The venue once offered part-time dining hours before opening the doors to the outdoor dance floor and courtyard for late-night partying. In April, Pellegrino decided to merge themes and join the two, allowing for a more focused execution of each concept.
Prime's swanky interior -- including glamorous décor, marble flooring, and supper-club-era-style bar -- remains largely the same. So too does the menu, which focuses on steaks, sushi, and seafood. You can still hand-select a cut of meat from the in-house butcher, listen to a live piano performance, and indulge in the restaurant's popular "lobster madness" special every Wednesday from 6 to 10 p.m., featuring $39 Maine dinners (reservations required).
But now, you can do all this alongside Il Bacio, which continues to operate in the back courtyard area, where live music -- including jazz -- can be enjoyed on weekends.
To celebrate the new location, Prime is offering a new happy hour, daily from 4 to 8 p.m. at the bar. Get half-priced appetizers, cocktails, signature martinis, and wine. On Friday, happy hour includes a complimentary buffet starting at 5 p.m. as well as live jazz band in the courtyard at Il Bacio.
Prime Delray is now located at 29 SE Second Ave. in Delray Beach. Call 561-865-5845, or visit primedelray.com.
