A sink full of nasty dishes, mountains of fattening leftovers in the fridge, and a rotting turkey carcass; these are the (mostly) unpleasant side effects of cooking a Thanksgiving feast at home. Davie
This family-friendly Italian chain is serving up a turkey feast served family style, at $45 for three people and $90 for six people. The menu is white turkey meat with gravy, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, whole-berry cranberry sauce, and homemade spicy Italian sausage stuffing. Dessert is mini chocolate chip cannolis. Throw in a traditional pasta dish for an extra $10 to $15. Reservations start at 11 a.m.
The restaurant also will sell to-go Thanksgiving party pans with traditional dishes for $135 to $250. The cut-off for ordering a to-go meal is 9 p.m. Monday, November 19.
Fort Lauderdale
The North Ocean Grille inside of the Pelican Grand Beach Resort is hosting a monstrous holiday feast ($65 for adults; $32 for kids ages 5 to 12 years; and free to kids ages four years and younger) with an array of salads, a seafood bar (including East Coast oysters on the half shell), artisan cheeses, a carving station (with slow-roasted turkey with apple cider and apricot glaze), entrees (like char-broiled skirt steak), sides (candied yams and caramelized Brussels sprouts), and six types of dessert. A special kids' buffet is available. Seatings are available at noon, 2:30, and 5 p.m.
The Riverside Hotel is hosting a Thanksgiving Day buffet ($39 per adult; $15 for kids 12 and younger) on Las Olas with an assortment of "autumn salads," entrees, a carving station, and desserts. There'll be traditional dishes like sage- and port-wine-basted carved turkey and home-style gravy and cranberry sauce, and other options like almond-crusted trout with pomegranate beurre blanc. The buffet is from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
Get a beachside holiday brunch or dinner at the Ritz-Carlton. The cost is $95 per adult including champagne, and $35 per child 12 years and younger. The brunch runs noon to 8:30 p.m.
They won't be open on Thanksgiving Day, but you can pre-order some of your Thanksgiving goodies at Gran Forno through Tuesday, November 20. The popular spot will offer holiday desserts for $35, with choices like traditional pumpkin pie, Belgian chocolate mousse cake, Peggy's granny Smith apple tart, Maker's Mark Bourbon pecan tart, and cherry pie. Sides include cranberry relish with chipotle ($9.50 for 12 ounces) and ciabatta stuffing with Italian sausage with apples, golden raisins, and chestnuts ($10 per pound). They'll also have an assortment of breads and rolls. Place a holiday order via their online order form.
Two Ugly Sisters, the catering arm of 11th Street Annex, is taking Thanksgiving catering orders through Saturday, November 17. They'll be cooking up everything from an entire turkey with gravy to grilled vegetables, smashed potatoes, praline sweet potatoes, and plenty of reasonably-priced pies. Hallandale Beach
III Forks will serve a four-course Thanksgiving meal ($44.95 per adult; $15.95 for kids younger than 12). The first course is a tenderloin tomato soup and the second course is the III Forks salad. Entrée selections include; spice-rubbed holiday turkey with "grandma's giblet gravy," fresh cranberry-orange relish, sausage sage cornbread dressing, creamed potatoes, maple-glazed yams, and sautéed snap peas; roasted Midwest beef tenderloin in a roast shallot thyme veal glace with duchess potatoes, off-the-cob creamed corn, and sautéed snap peas; or Vermont maple-glazed Atlantic salmon with coconut-infused jasmine rice, and roasted autumn vegetables. Three dessert choices are available. The restaurant will be open 4 to 9 p.m. and reservations are encouraged.
Hollywood
The restaurant inside Marriott Hollywood Beach will put on a Thanksgiving Day buffet ($36.95 for adults; $21.95 for kids 12 years and younger; free to kids three and younger) with a salad bar, carving station, hot entrees, and desserts (apple pie or pumpkin pie). Reservations are available from 12:30 to 8 p.m.
Lighthouse Point
Le Bistro is serving a four-course Thanksgiving Day feast ($35 for adults; $15 for kids ages 12 years and younger) with a choice of appetizer, an autumn salad, a choice of entree, and a choice of three desserts. Got a picky selective eater in the crew? Gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian menu choices are available.
