It's not an anniversary party per se, but Saltwater Brewery's Mass Confusion festival is back for its second year this Saturday, April 30.

The now officially annual event highlights the brewery's Belgian tripel, named Don't Get Confused. For the fest, Don't Get Confused will undergo dozens of different small-batch treatments (adding some rather interesting ingredients after the beer is made) for the public's tasting pleasure.

The block-party-styled event closes down the area around the Delray Beach brewery with an all-day beer festival contained by a nominal $5 cover charge and $5 beer tickets for by-the-pour action starting at noon and ending at 10 p.m.

As with last year, parking will be extremely limited, and it's advised to carpool or take public transit. Hell, Tri-Rail is right down the street, and what's cooler than a bunch of people taking the train to a brewery?

Now for the goods. Timed releases will take place throughout the day, and though it hasn't yet been announced which hour they will be tapped, here is what's set to be poured:

- Coconut Don't Get Confused
- Blueberry Basil Don't Get Confused
- Imperial Tequila Sunrise (Made with Don't Get Confused)
- Confused Monk (Star Anise / Clove)
- Seagrape Wood Aged Don't Get Confused
- Coffee Don't Get Confused
- Margarita Don't Get Confused
- Painkiller Don't Get Confused

In addition, 500 bottles of the brewery's event beer Don't Get Confused will be on sale for $15 apiece (in a 750ml format, two per person; don't be greedy!) with half being released at noon and half at 8 p.m. So if you're lucky, you can take a piece of the festival home with you.

There will also be plenty of other Saltwater standards and special releases on tap throughout the day. Check out the Facebook event page for a full, up-to-date listing.

Food trucks like Melted Madness and Out of Many Cafe will be onsite all day to provide you with some sustenance, while bands such as Joe Dougherty and Red Lyte will endeavor to keep your ears stimulated. It's playtime for all the senses.

If you attended last year, you are aware of the fun that a good beer festival can have, especially one that focuses on a big 11 percent alcohol-by-volume Belgian tripel. Just remember to drink lots of water. There, that's my public service announcement. Be gone!

Saltwater Brewery is located at 1701 W. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach. The Mass Confusion Festival is from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, April 30. Admission is $5, and drink tickets cost $5 each. The first 500 guests will receive a commemorative snifter glass. Call 561-865-5373, or visit saltwaterbrewery.com.
