Monday

Food truck rally in Hollywood

The weekly food-truck invasion in downtown Hollywood includes familiar favorites like B.C. Tacos, Dim Ssam a Gogo, the Rolling Stove, and many others. The roundup is 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. There's no cost to attend, but bring cash for the trucks. The rally is in Arts Park at Young Circle.

Festival of the Arts Boca preview party at Kapow! and Dubliner

Kapow! Noodle Bar and Dubliner are teaming up this evening to host a preview party for next year's Festival of the Arts Boca. The party is 5:30 to 7:30 tonight and the cost is $10 to attend. For that price, you'll get light bites from Kapow and two drinks from a selected menu.

Bake for the Rescues

Love dogs almost as much as you crave sweet treats? The Bake for Rescues from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Sundy House allows you to indulge the ol' sweet tooth while throwing a bone to Dizzy's Second Chance Rescue (a local dog rescue). The cost is $25 in advance or $30 at the door.

Christening of new ice cream truck at Jaxson's

In May, some jerk -- or a group of jerks -- stole away with the Jaxson's Ice Cream Parlor Restaurant truck in the dead of night. Since the place is such a beloved South Florida institution, the story made waves. At 3 p.m. today, the restaurant will christen its new truck, playfully dubbed Miss Jaxson II. The event includes free mini ice cream cones and hot dog samples from National Deli.

Tuesday

Food truck night in Plantation

West siders can check out the weekly Plantation food truck invasion from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in Plantation Heritage Park. There's no cost to attend the family-friendly event, but bring cash if you want dinner from the ever-changing lineup of food trucks.

Toys for Tots event at newly opened Pampas

Pampas Brazilian Grille recently opened its doors in CityPlace in West Palm Beach. They'll celebrate the start of their first holiday season by hosting a kick-off party for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation Teen Target from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost is $10 in advance or $15 at the door, which includes one drink and hors d'oeuvres. Bring a new unwrapped gift for a teen -- ages 11to 18 -- and snag a second drink ticket.

Wednesday

Dogfish Head tap takeover in Fort Lauderdale

Dogfish Head will take over the taps at American Social in Fort Lauderdale with reliable favorites like 60 Minute IPA and 90 Minute IPA, plus harder to find favorites like 120 Minute IPA and Hellhound On My Ale. A few bottles will be available as well; specifically, 75 Minute IPA and Olde School. The event is 7 to 11 p.m.

Thursday

Fashion show at SoLita in Fort Lauderdale

SoLita on Las Olas is about as image conscious as an Italian restaurant can get, so it makes sense that they'd host a fashion show starting at 9 p.m. Thursday. The theme for the runway is "modern vintage" and the fashions will be showcased in the restaurant's back lot. The show highlights collections from Elektrik Boutique, Girlfriends Boutique, and Zamora Swimwear. It's free to attend the show, but dinner reservations are recommended if you plan on sticking around. Seating is limited. Call 954-357-2616 or shoot an email to [email protected].

Wellington food truck event

The trucks will roll into Wellington for their weekly food truck roundup courtesy of Food Truck Invasion. The fun runs from 5:30 to 10 p.m., with a collection of food trucks from throughout Miami, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. The event is at the Wellington Amphitheater, 12150 Forest Hill Blvd.
