If you're able to tear yourself away from the 2012 Olympics coverage long enough to venture out you'll find an assortment of booze-focused events this week in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Of course, if you want to go out and still be able to watch televised handball you can find a list of South Florida bars and restaurants hosting Olympic events here. After the jump, find a run-down of some of this week's South Florida dining events.

Tuesday

Cheap eats for National Lasagna Day
Food holidays may be kind of corny, but at least they often come with a chance to eat something tasty on the cheap. Brio Tuscan Grille will recognize National Lasagna Day (which was technically on Sunday, but who cares?) with half-priced lasagna bolognese al forno. The $17.65 dish will be available for $8.83 at the Brio locations in Hallandale, Pembroke Pines, Boca Raton, and Palm Beach Gardens.

SAIA at Sunset
Sake buffs will want to get in on the five-course sunset dinner at SAIA in Fort Lauderdale. The meal starts at 7:15 p.m., but guests should arrive by 7 p.m. The cost is $99 per couple and $54 for an individual. Call 954-302-5252 to reserve a table and get more details about the menu.

Wednesday

The Rose Lifestyle of St. Tropez
Max's Harvest in Delray Beach will host a wine dinner with roses from Chateau d'Esclans. The vino will be paired with dishes by chef Chris Miracolo in a five-course tasting. A reception with bubbly starts at 6 p.m. and dinner is at 6:30 p.m. The meal is $89 per person, not including tax and tip. Reservations are required; call, 561-381-9970.

Animal rescue fundraiser at Deck 84
Deck 84 in Delray Beach is hosting a "yappy hour" from 5:30 to 8 p.m. to raise funds for the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. A $10 suggested donation includes one beverage and snacks by Deck 84.

Friday

Cigar City Brewing cooking demo
Get crafty in the kitchen with a Cigar City Brewing cooking demo at Publix Apron's Cooking School in Boca Raton. The pairing presentation will demonstrate how to put together dishes like tempura-beer-batted conch salad served with Guava Grove or spicy andouille sausage gumbo pizza served with Jai Alai IPA. The demo is 6:30 p.m. and the cost is $45 per person. Reserve a spot online here.

Saturday

Wine & All That Jazz
Want to rub elbows with some hoity-toity rich folks at the Boca Raton Resort? The Boca Festival Days' annual Wine & All That Jazz is 7 to 9 p.m. and includes more than 100 wines to taste, plus food tastings from restaurants like Bogart's Bar & Grill, Deck 84, Blue Martini, Brio Tuscan Grille, Red The Steakhouse, Rosso Italia, Oceans 234, Truluck's, and more. Tickets start at $50. Call 561-395-4433.

Sunday

Summer of Sam with Samuel Adams
Who needs a holiday in order to booze it up at cookout? World of Beer in Coconut Creek will host an outdoor Samuel Adams shindig with burgers, hot dogs, and chips (and beer, of course) starting at noon. The afternoon also will include games and raffles.
