The South Florida Fair opens tomorrow, bringing with it two weeks of non-stop blue-ribboned animals, carnies hawking games of chance, and neon-colored rides.

Yada...yada...who are we kidding?  Do we really wait the entire year to watch a cow give birth (yes, there was a bovine birthing room last year)?  Or do we tremble with anticipation at the prospect of eating whatever can be put on a stick and deep fried?

From January 13 - 29, eat your way through the fair's assortment of

giant turkey legs, fried pickles, candy apples, sausage and peppers, hot

dogs, ice cream, grilled corn, and funnel cake.

The fair opens Monday - Friday at noon. Saturday, Sunday & Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day at 10 a.m. Rides open one hour after gate opening.

There

are various ticket bundles which include rides, but adult general

admission is $15, kids 6-11 are $10.  Buy your tickets in advance online today, January 12th for a $5 discount, or call 1-800-527-FAIR to order by phone.
