Veteran Job Fair
If you've been able to handle the pressure of war, you're probably fit to handle the heat of the kitchen -- or stress of the restaurant industry overall. To help returning members of the military find local jobs, DaDa Restaurant & Lounge is hosting a Veterans Job Fair on Monday and Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The restaurant is teaming up with a number of local businesses to pair veterans up with employers in the area. Soups for the Fall Soul
Within the past few weeks the weather has definitely started to cool down, slightly. If the crisp breeze is a bit too chilly for your thin South Florida blood -- or you're just looking to pick up a recipe or two -- Publix Apron Cooking School in Plantation is hosting a fall soup course on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The hands-on class will teach participants how to make a number of warming recipes, including corn chowder, pumpkin sage soup, and more. Fall Festival Block Party
With Halloween just around the corner, everyone's getting all in the mood for autumnal celebrations. To celebrate the season, Whole Foods Market in Fort Lauderdale is hosting a fall festival block party throughout the store on Tuesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The party includes cooking demos across the store with tons of free samples -- hey, you might even get your dinner out of the way. The event includes a drawing for a $50 Whole Foods gift card.

Get Stoned
It's back: stone crab season, that is. To celebrate one of South Florida's greatest delicacies, Prime Delray is now offering unlimited stone crab dinners every Wednesday from 6 to 10 p.m. with its Get Stoned dinner. For $49 per person, eat all the crab you want with soup or salad, and a chef's side.

If there are two things that a beloved by everyone -- aside from lactose and gluten intolerant individuals -- it's cheese and beer. The shop's in-house cheese-monger will be dishing out and explaining the perfect pairings for free.

Food Truck Invasion
Food trucks are taking over Wellington again. The Food Truck Invasion has started up its weekly roundup again at the Wellington Amphitheatre on Thursdays from 5 to 9:30 p.m. The event is free to attend. Food is available for purchase from individual trucks.

Art of Wine & Food Series: "Boo-tiful Reds"
Much like the supernatural, wine can be a scary thing if you don't know how to properly deal with it. On Thursday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale is hosting its monthly wine series with a "boo-tiful" -- and hopefully not scary -- selection of reds from around the world. The guest chef of the month will be pairing light bites with the wines. The cost to attend is $40 per person. Reservations are required.

Humana Farmers Market and Healthy Cooking Course
Sure, it's easy, but gorging yourself on fast food every day isn't exactly the healthiest way to live. To help the community and its clients learn to eat well -- and save some insurance money -- Humana is hosting a free cooking demonstration at its Tamarac Guidance Center on Thursday at 11 a.m. The first 50 participants will receive a free sample and a $5 voucher to the Tamarac Farmers Market just outside the center.

Goose Island Vintage Ales Beer Tasting

Fourth Annual Latin American Food and Wine Festival
If you're not familiar with Latin culture, you haven't been living in South Florida for very long, and you're definitely missing out. Remedy that situation on Thursday at Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County's Fourth Annual Latin American Food and Wine Festival on Thursday from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Midtown at Palm Beach Garden's will be turned into "Calle Mayor" with more than 25 local restaurants, South American and Spanish wines, live music, and more. Tickets are $40 per person.
