South Florida Food and Drink Events This Week: Wine Tasting, Beer Dinner and Food Trucks

The weekend might be over, but there are still plenty of weekday food and drink events in South Florida to keep you busy. Whether you're wine tasting, enjoying a beer dinner or scoping out some food trucks, there's something to do in Broward and Palm Beach counties this week.

Monday

Chef Paula DaSilva at 3030 Ocean  
Guests at 3030 Ocean (3030 Holiday Dr., Fort Lauderdale) can enjoy Executive Chef Paula DaSilva’s favorite drinks at a discount. This includes half-off Bacardi Rum & Coke or La Marca Prosecco with the purchase of any entrée. This will be the chef’s last week before the kitchen closes for renovations and will last all week long starting this Monday, August 17 until Saturday, August 23. Visit 3030ocean.com.

Kegs and Cultures
Thanks to Whole Foods’ Certified Cheese Professional David Hall Funky Buddha beer experts, you can now be a beer and cheese connoisseur. The $15 class will allow attendees to learn and eat (of course) beer and cheese featured. The fun starts at 7 p.m. at Funky Buddha Brewery (1201 NE 38th St., Oakland Park). Tuesday

Beer Dinner
International food haven Hot and Soul (3045 North Federal Hwy. #60b, Fort Lauderdale) will be hosting their third annual Funky Buddha Beer Pairing dinner. Five courses will be served, with dishes such as French Caribbean Snapper, Caribbean gumbo, curry conch and dumplings soup and more. The event, which starts at 7 p.m., costs $60 to attend. Tasting Dinner at Tsukuro
Tsukuro (225 S. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd., Fort Lauderdale) will be having their monthly tasting on Tuesday. Starting at 6 p.m., guests can enjoy a four-course meal involving dishes such as sashimi salad, a sushi sampler, pork belly and more. Each dish will be paired with a specialty wine. Tickets are $55. Wednesday

Food Trucks
Get your food truck on in Brian Piccolo Park (9501 Sheridan St., Cooper City) this Wednesday. Over 20 food trucks will be available, including Crazydilla, Ipek's Wykked Kitchen, Jerk It, Granny B'z, and more. The event starts at 5 p.m. Visit foodtruckinvasion.com.

Thursday

Wine Tasting with Ellman Family Vineyards at The Wine Wave
The Wine Wave (900 E. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach) is hosting a wine tasting with wine from Ellman Family Vineyards. From 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., guests will taste five wines from the vineyards as well as light bites from Max’s Social House. Admission is $20 if purchased by August 19 and $25 after. All Weekend Long:

American Social Three-Year Anniversary
American Social (located at 721 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale) will be celebrating its three-year anniversary, and you know what that means: food discounts. From now until August 31, the Fort Lauderdale’s bar will debut its limited edition “Three Cheers for Three Years” anniversary menu. Guests can enjoy a selection of two drinks and one appetizer for $20. For drinks, choose from Tito’s Strawberry Lemonade, Basil Smash, Not Your Father’s Root Beer Float, Pineapple Mint Caipirinha, and Ketel Blue Cosmo. For appetizers, choose from AMSO pretzel bites, truffle and wild mushroom, goat cheese croquettes, margherita flatbread, pikliz and pork tostones and Spinach and Artichoke Dip.
