It's really no surprise that Florida restaurants fared so well in OpenTable's listing of the top 100 restaurants for outdoor dining.

We do, after all, have some of the best weather and the prettiest beaches in the U.S., not to mention some of the best dining.

30 Florida restaurants made the list, which is based on nearly 5 million restaurant reviews submitted by OpenTable diners for more than 12,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, with 16 restaurants in south Florida.

With a three-day weekend coming up, this list comes in handy.

We plan to make reservations for some al fresco dining at one of the winning restaurants. After all, nothing says long weekend like a long, leisurely lunch on the water with a tall drink in your hands.
