Weekend warriors are always on a quest for awesome new ways to kick off a Sunday Funday. The new brunch menu at Johnny V -- introduced during the madness of the holiday season -- is a solid prospect, with indulgent-sounding dishes and the promise of never-ending mimosas (always helpful in battling an impending hangover).
The Sunday brunch at the Las Olas staple features $10 unlimited mimosas with the purchase of a menu item, with "brunch plate" selections like Captain Crunch-crusted fried chicken and waffles, topped with Vermont maple syrup and served with berries and melon. Or for a lighter bite, from the Benedict-style-egg-section, local fresh mozzarella with tomato, wilted spinach, bruschetta, and poached eggs, dressed in balsamic syrup and hollandaise.

Other brunch plates to use to soak up Saturday night's booze include a creative take on meatloaf, made with smoked bacon wrapped around duck breast and served alongside sweet potato hash, creamed corn, and baby green beans. Or, there's the French toast stuffed with fresh berries and cream cheese, and topped with a fig syrup. No brunch menu would be complete without a baked or broiled egg dish, and Johnny V's offering is an aged cheddar, potato, and tomato frittata.
The brunch dishes are priced $12 to $15, and the mimosa special is good from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. If brunch items aren't your fancy, there are other menu options available like soups, salads, and sandwiches.
