What do you get when you trap a whiskey distiller and a brewmaster in a room together?  One hell of a drink, is what we're thinking.

Actually, what you get is John John Dead Guy Ale, which is the collaboration of Rogue brewmaster John Maier and Rogue spirits master distiller John Couchot.

Maier and Couchot got together and decided to age Rogue ales in Rogue Dead Guy whiskey barrels.

The super-rare ale that resulted as the love child of this union (there are only 1,357 cases in the world and very few kegs), will be unveiled tonight at Tap 42.

At 7 p.m. sharp, one sole keg of John John Dead Guy ale will be

tapped at the Fort Lauderdale gastropub. According to Tap 42's event

manager, Lauren, the kegs are so extraordinarily rare, they can be

ordered only one at a time.

The first person to buy a John John ale and a shot of

Dead Guy Whiskey will receive a T-shirt.

If you're dying (pun intended) to try this extremely rare ale, pop in

tonight, because the keg's not expected to last beyond this evening. The person who taps out the

keg will also get a T-shirt.

Tap 42 will also feature specialty

cocktails featuring Rogue Hazelnut Spice rum (which is aged in

charcoaled oak bourbon barrels from the Jack Daniels distillery in

Tennessee) and Dead Guy whiskey. Cocktails and shots of the two featured

spirits are $7; the ale will be market-priced at 7 p.m.
