Couldn't score a ticket across the pond for the London 2012 Olympics and now you'll be stuck watching the summer games "in the colonies"? No worries; South Florida bars and restaurants are flying the Union Jack (next to the good ol' Stars and Stripes, of course) in honor of the games, giving you a chance to cheer on your favorite team in the presence of a crowd. After the jump, find a few spots in Broward and Palm Beach counties where you can watch the games in style.

The Pub, 237 SW 145th Terrace, Pembroke Pines. Call 954-430-4230.

Being an English-inspired pub and all, it's only right that The Pub in Pembroke Pines is going all out for the Olympic games, hosting multiple viewing parties and event-themed drink specials, including an Olympic beer sampler. There's also two different beer bucket specials; Team USA gets stuck with five Budweiser or Bud Light bottles, while the World Team bucket includes four imports from a select list. The bar also will be serving up the Olympic torch cocktail, made with Three Olives vodka, fresh-squeezed lemon juice, simple syrup, and fresh watermelon. The bar/restaurant is also hosting a trivia challenge on their Facebook page; but hurry -- the contest ends on Friday.

Pistache French Bistro, 101 N. Clematis Street, West Palm Beach. Call 561-833-5090.

As part of its globe-trotting-themed summer promo (Tour du Monde) Pistache will host "A Night in London" on Friday night. The event gets underway with a three-course English-themed dinner menu starting at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $39 per person. Coverage of the opening ceremonies will be broadcast on a big-screen TV starting at 7:30 p.m. Baby boomers will want to stick around for the Beatlemaniax -- a Beatles tribute act -- at 9 p.m.

Duffy's Sports Grill; multiple locations

From Port St. Lucie to Plantation, the defacto sports bar of Florida will broadcast the Olympic games for the duration. Find your closest location here

America's Backyard, 100 SW Third Ave., Fort Lauderdale. Call 954-449-1030.

Are you always the anchor for your flip-cup team? Do you routinely smoke the competition in beer pong? America's Backyard is hosting the Olympic drinking championships on Friday, August 10, with competitions in bar-appropriate feats like highest consumption of hot wings and the wet-n-wild funnel wagon. To register to compete, call Chris at 954-790-5896.
