Food truck fans in West Palm Beach usually have to make do with the trucks that hang out in the northernmost reaches of south Florida like Curbside Gourmet or Out of Many Cafe.   Until tonight.

Village Commons in West Palm Beach is hosting their first ever Food Truck Frenzy tonight from 5:30 - 9:30 p.m. Almost two dozen trucks will be serving up dinner, including some of Miami's major players on the food truck scene like gastroPod, Dim Ssam a Gogo , Slow Food Truck, and  Latin Burger.

This is the first time so many trucks have hit West Palm Beach, and

there's actually a good reason for that. Most south Florida food trucks hail from

Miami and the truck owners at first didn't anticipate driving more than

a few miles to do mobile lunch and dinner service.

Then food

truck roundups, consisting of two dozen or more trucks, became popular

and that popularity moved north to Broward..and now to Palm Beach

County.

If you live in West Palm Beach, it's worth a drive to

check out the food truck phenomena if you've never been.  And, if you're

a fan of the mobile munch machines, it's time to show some love so the

owners of these metal beasts make it a point to put West Palm Beach on

their permanent radar.

  • 4Alarm Pizza
  • Catered Bliss
  • Clarabelle's Cupcakes
