California may have girls, love, and dreamin', but South Floridians should, at the very least, be happy they shared their burgers.

With orders like the "Kahuna Malibu," - an 8 oz burger topped with grilled pineapple, cheese, and teriyaki sauce - Floridians may never need to leave the state to get a taste of the pacific side. They just need to make a pit stop at California Burgers and Shakes in Fort Lauderdale, which is where we were eating yesterday.

And we must not ignore the "shakes" portion of the restaurant name. They carry the classic Neapolitan flavors, but also tote peppermint, coconut, and even a banana split. I recently grabbed a chocolate peanut butter shake that tasted like Reese's in cold, semi-liquid form. I probably could've bathed in it if I was given enough.

I'm not alone with the shake-loving sickness. California Burgers and Shakes won the "Best Milkshake" accolade last year in our Best of Issue.
