Hey moms! Can you believe it's almost back-to-school time? That means only a few more days with the kids before you see them off on that big yellow bus!

Whole Foods is celebrating the remaining days of summer vacation (and the countdown to school) with events at two locations this weekend, so whether you're in Broward or Palm Beach County, stop by and get tips on preparing healthy lunches, grab some freebies, and enjoy free family fun!

On Saturday, August 10, Whole Foods Market in Pembroke Pines is planning an entire day of fun, with raffles and healthy snacks for kids, and nutrition tips for parents. The schedule of events includes:

At 11 a.m., the back-to-school kids club hosts an interactive class for kids ages five to 12, where kids will learn how to make nutritious snacks that taste good too. Space is limited, so pre-register your child in-person at customer service, or call 954-394-3500.

From noon to 2 p.m., walk through the store and sample healthy and delicious snacks for both you and your kid.

At 3 p.m., the first 50 children to stop by the customer service counter will win a free back-to-school goodie bag filled with healthy snacks.

Be sure to enter your kids in the "better yummies for little tummies" backpack raffle drawing. Stop by customer service for a chance to win a backpack filled with snacks and goodies.

Stop by Whole Foods Market in Wellington on Saturday, August 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a back-to-school kickoff. The event, in partnership with the Village of Wellington, Safe Neighborhoods, PBSO, and Palm Beach Fire Rescue, will feature free lunch box favorite foods, free ID cards for children and lots of fun activities all around the store.

Purchase a reusable lunch bags for a $5 donation to the Police Athletic League, then walk around the store to fill the bag with all kinds of goodies. Funds raised will help the League purchase school supplies for local children in need.

Best of all? Kids get to explore real Emergency Fire Rescue vehicles in the parking lot!
