No. 94: Cannoli from Mona Lisa Coal Oven Pizza

You don't even have to like the classic Italian pastry to appreciate the awesomeness of Mona Lisa in Deerfield's version. Simply put, this cannoli is flawless. The recipe is three generations old, hailing from Mona Lisa's sister shop in Brooklyn, where daily-baked breads, cookies, and cakes are works of art in their own right. The Deerfield Beach shop pairs a crackly sweet crust and velvety, mascarpone cream filling with just a touch of cinnamon, and the results are extraordinary. Mona Lisa makes some fantastic, thin-crust pizza, but it's the cannolis we keep going back for.
