No. 71 Croque Monsieur from Croissan'Time
Open since 1986, this French Bakery remains popular with the locals for its consistent offerings of fresh pastries, tarts, cakes and pies. And we can't forget the ample assortments of charcuterie and cheeses from the deli. It's nearly impossible to grow bored of the various sweets and flaky pastry, but if you do, the croque monsieur will surely satisfy a knackering for savory.
Like a birthday present ready for opening, a square package of warm ham and cheese between toasted bread awaits on a plate. Push the cutlery aside and crunch through the decadent oozing layers of melted gruyère and Béchamel sauce as notes of nutmeg and salty tang celebrate on your tongue. Bon anniversaire, taste buds.
