Nothing gets us hot and sticky faster than the idea of a whole day of BBQ consumption. Time to strap on our boots, throw on our favorite jeans, (AKA built-in napkin), and get our fix of ribs 'n' country.

West Palm Beach's WIRK 107.9 Rib Round-Up is scheduled for

February 12. It features local restaurants and home grill cooks alike competing for trophies in several categories.

These chefs are hoping to win you over in the People's Choice category, which allows you the opportunity to vote for your favorite. Other trophies will be handed out for Best Sauce and Best Overall; both will be determined by a panel of judges.

If the lure of tender, smoky ribs that fall off the bone and melt in your mouth isn't enough to tempt you, there will be live music from several country music acts, including Rodney Atkins and Joe Nichols.

As our Deep South friends would say, "Bring yerself on down" to Cruzan Amphitheatre.

Reserved seat and festival lawn tickets cost $20 in advance and $25 on event day.

Doors open at noon, and the award ceremony takes place at 9 p.m.
