While burgers go rather deliciously with beer, we sometimes get dreamy and wonder how our cold ones might go with some fancier alternatives.
While the standard Italian meal typically includes wine with those pasta and marinara dishes, it might be radical to mix toss the carafe and bring in some brewskis instead.
Voila! On Wednesday, Nov. 14, Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza is teaming up with Due South Brewing - a Boynton Beach brewery - for a night of Italian cuisine paired with local beer at its Pompano location.
The 4-course meal includes a classic Italian salad, meatballs, ribs and pizza. The beer features include Due South's Caramel Cream Ale, Cat 5 IPA, Café Ole Porter and Florida Blonde Ale.
Anthony's holds occasional tastings to showcase local beer paired with its Italian meals. This is the first South Florida pairing at Anthony's since February 2011; recently, the company has been concentrating in its beer pairings in Orlando and Clearwater. Anthony's intends to hold more local pairings in Pembroke Pines and Boca Raton in early 2013.
