Happy Thanksgiving. Ideally, your holiday is being spent gathered around a table (or bar, if that's more your style) sharing food and drink with people you love, or at least tolerate. Here's hoping you won't be losing any valuable family- and recovering-on-the-couch time by getting in line for early-early-early bird specials this evening: Black Friday can wait. This is what Black Friday should be all about: Drinking dark, tasty craft brews and supporting a local business, far, far away from the mall. Due South Brewing Co. in Boynton Beach is hosting an all-day Black Friday Party from noon to 11 p.m.
Lots of specials and activities are on tap: From noon to 4 p.m., get $5 off bottles regularly priced $10 to $15 each. From 2 to 4 p.m., buy a Due South pint and get a free glass (there's a limit of one per person on the free glassware). Get $1 off all draft beers from 4 to 6 p.m. and from 6 to 11 p.m., get a 16-ounce Roasted Cocoa Stout at the 12-ounce price. From 4 p.m. on, every order comes with a raffle ticket for a chance to win Due South goodies, like shirts, beer, and a $60 gift basket.
At 5 p.m., the crew will tap a special firkin of Caramel and Stout. From 5 to 10 p.m., buy food on premises from food trucks Lucille's on Wheels, Dough Bros. gourmet pretzels, and Sugar Mamas Sweets.
RA Sushi
On Friday, RA Sushi Bar Restaurants in Pembroke Pines and Palm Beach Gardens are hosting RA Retail Therapy sessions from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The promo is an extension of their usual 3 to 7 p.m. happy hour. There are more than 35 selections of sushi, appetizers, and tapas priced from $2.25 to $7.25. To drink -- and if you've spent any time in a long Black Friday line, you're going to want a drink -- there's a selection of beer, wine, and cocktails from $3 to $7.
