Residents of Weston have a new pizza restaurant to look forward to. That may not sound like big news, but this is no slouch of a chain coming to town.

D'Angelo Pizza Wine Bar and Tapas opens on January 21 in Country Isle Plaza (1370 Weston Road). If the name sounds familiar, it's because the man behind this casual concept is chef Angelo Elia of Casa D'Angelo.

Elia also owns several other restaurants in south Florida and the Bahamas, including the flagship D'Angelo Pizza in Oakland Park. The chef/restaurateur plans to open three more establishments in 2013.

D'Angelo Pizza's menu consists of well-priced pizzas ($10-$15);

paninis($11-$17); pastas($17-$19); salads; calzones ($15); and wood-oven fritatas ($10-$16), all made with

fresh, seasonable ingredients imported from Italy.

Desserts and an extended list of Italian wines, as well as a variety of spirits, beers, and cocktails, rounds out the menu.

D'Angelo Pizza Wine Bar Tapas will serve lunch and dinner Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, the restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. - 1 a.m. Free parking is available.
